Navy Uses PhaseSpace's Motion Sensing Technology

The Office of Naval research created a large vessel interface crane that uses PhaseSpace’s motion sensing technology to transfer material between ships without having to go into port. The ability to do this will save the Navy tremendous amounts of time and money.

Black Eyed Peas Music Video Released
On February 16th, Black Eyed Peas released their newest music video, Imma Be Rockin That Body. The video features two giant dancing robots created using the PhaseSpace motion capture system. Proof, the company responsible for the 3D animation of the robots, was impressed by how clean the data collected by the PhaseSpace motion capture system was. The entire video, from concept design to delivery, was finished in less than three weeks.

PhaseSpace has been selected to present in The Studio at Siggraph this year. This marks the 8th time PhaseSpace has been invited to highlight its motion capture process for this prestigious event.

PhaseSpace will be showing attendees how to use our Impulse Motion Capture System. We will be unveiling our new Vision system, a hybrid tracking technology certain to set a new standard for high quality, high speed motion capture. We will also be featuring our wireless virtual camera, currently a very hot topic in the movie production business. The virtual camera allows the director to move around the set with ease, and view the virtual scene from any angle in real time.

Plan on attending this world-renowned conference and experience the latest PhaseSpace solutions. Siggraph 2010 will be held at the Los Angeles convention Center from July 25-29. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
  Recap
Recap is ideal for clients in the life science and research industries, who only need fluid skeletal motion data and no character animation. They no longer have to pay for expensive software capable of creating animated characters, unnecessary for their research purposes. Our clients in the entertainment industry can benefit from the software as well. Errors and glitches in motion capture data become obsolete with Recap, greatly cutting the costs of data clean-up for many current and potential clients in the entertainment industry.
C-Motion Plug-in
PhaseSpace and C-Motion, Inc. have been working cohesively to be able to stream motion data from the PhaseSpace System into C-Motion’s Visual 3D program. Researchers in the medical, sports, and rehabilitation fields can now use data captured by the PhaseSpace system in a program specifically designed for their needs. The combined use of the PhaseSpace system and C-Motion software will open up new doors for current and prospective PhaseSpace clients specializing in biomechanics.
